Kitchen Plumbing Installation
Price: $2,700 Time: 2 days Client: Olivia Bennett Service: Residential
Overview
Olivia was remodeling her Brooklyn kitchen around a new gas range, deep sink and dishwasher — but the 1960s supply lines and corroded waste arm couldn't support any of it. We installed a complete kitchen plumbing system: new copper supplies, a replaced waste branch, fresh shutoffs, faucet, disposal and appliance hookups.
The challenge
Galvanized supplies choked flow to a trickle, the waste arm sagged and leaked at the trap, and the gas stub for the new range was capped two rooms away. The cabinet installer was booked for day three — immovable.
Our approach
Day one: re-pipe supplies and waste, run the new gas line and pressure-test it. Day two: set the faucet, disposal and dishwasher lines, then flow-test every fixture with the client watching.
Results & deliverables
- Full supply and waste replacement, permitted and inspected
- New gas run with standing pressure test certificate
- Faucet, disposal and dishwasher connected and flow-tested
- Finished on schedule at the quoted $2,700 — cabinets installed day three
